Available in poplar, red oak, white oak, walnut, cherry, alder and maple. Our caps are made to fit somewhat loosely over a 3.25 inch newel to allow for leveling and varying newel posts. Caps can be stained, painted, or clear finished then secured with epoxy, wood glue, construction adhesive, or finish nails. Some sanding may be required. Note: Caps slide onto your newel post about 3/4", but if that's too much, you can insert a 1/4" to 1/2" piece of wood inside the cap to keep it from sliding down too far on your newel.
