In January 1935 Federal agents tracked members of The Barker-Karpis Gang, one of the longest running, most notorious, and last remaining criminal organizations of the Gangster Era, to a rural north central Florida town. Here, in a place from removed from locations so often associated with gangs of that time, the longest gun battle in FBI history would take place and was a signal event in the demise of the gang.
