Fort Gibson is a collection of articles taken from the popular column “Three Forks History” written by Jonita Mullins and published weekly in the Muskogee Phoenix . The book covers the 200 years of history of one of America’s earliest western forts and the town that developed around it. Founded in 1824, Fort Gibson did its duty in keeping the peace, guarding the gold and winning the war.
