Drudge is as much a philosopher as he is a poet. For me this is a good thing. He is a writer brave enough to expose his fresh cuts and old scars without the cowards need to deny honest sentiment. John’s work is crisp and clear, untainted by cheap and clever word games. Pure craft. Is it any wonder that Drudge may well be Canada’s most internationally published poet?
