While living in a pet store, Fritz is overlooked and always left behind. The visitors to the pet store along with Chuck the Chihuahua and Billy the Bichon relentlessly taunt Fritz. They tell Fritz that he is not purebred, and his fur is not all one color, so who would want to give him a home! Fritz is desperate to be accepted and find what he wants most, a forever home. As the story unfolds, Fritz encounters many adventures and some misadventures when he escapes to start his journey to The Ritz! Along the way Fritz meets several memorable characters including Horatio Briggs, Eric, Marvin the Marine, Ernesto, and most notably, Dee Dee Devine. While Fritz Goes to The Ritz is a fictional story, its creation was inspired by an adorable real life Havachin pup no one wanted to adopt.
