A self-employed attorney who loves to spend time in the kitchen, Danielle Caminiti made the best of the 2020 global pandemic by reinventing herself in shifting direction and pursuing her passion - cooking! Her kitchen has offered a source of empowerment and renewal at a harrowing time when the courts were closed and when a great deal of control had been taken from her. From Courtroom to Cucina features 70 authentic recipes that are sure to become favorites, filled with delicious appetizers and sides, mouthwatering main courses, flavorful desserts, and creative drinks! The recipes found inside reflect Danielle's diverse taste in food and drinks, equaling the same diversity her hometown of New York City offers. From quick but show-stopping brunch options such as Savory Pesto Waffles and craft cocktails like the Raspberry Persimmon Smash, simple weeknight meals like Thai Lettuce Wraps, to authentic Italian pastas such as Linguine and Clams, hearty Greek Lamb and Orzo Stuffed Peppers, and traditional Sunday Sauce and Meatballs, to crowd-pleasing appetizers such as Stuffed Mushrooms, and her prized homemade Pizza Napoletana, as well as unique desserts like Flourless Chestnut Chocolate Cake, this collection will be a mainstay in your kitchen. Having traveled around the world and studied many different cuisines, Danielle utilizes this knowledge to help others "disarm the kitchen" the same way she has through these easy-to-follow recipes. Ms. Caminiti is an experienced attorney of over two decades, entrepreneur, culinary artist, food writer, blogger, brand ambassador, and most importantly, a parent. She is a seasoned legal professional who graduated from Fordham University School of Law and New York University, both with honors. Ms. Caminiti is also a former prosecutor of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, she is a former associate of a prestigious medical malpractice defense firm, as well as a boutique commercial litigation firm, both in Manhattan. Since 2013, Ms. Caminiti has been self-employed as a per diem attorney who covers virtual and in-person appearances and depositions regularly in New York City and State for hundreds of well-known law firms and solo practitioners. In 2019, Ms. Caminiti formed Have U Covered, LLC, which, like her recipes, she built from scratch. She is the solo owner of her Queens-based office, and together with her team of reliable and competent attorneys, she covers court cases in all 62 counties in New York State. Having grown up in a closely knit Italian-American family in New York City, Ms. Caminiti has always had a genuine appreciation for Italian food and culture. Aside from domestic travel, she has traveled to Italy several times, as well as Greece, Africa, Spain, Turkey and Mexico. Danielle has always been an avid home cook, and although her cooking reflects strong ties to her Italian roots, she often ventures outside her comfort zone and embraces fusion cooking and dishes from other cultures. It makes her happy to feed people and she is truly in her element when entertaining family and friends with her culinary delights, a glass of wine, good conversation, and a lot of laughter. Have U Covered LLC was put on an extended pause when the courts closed in March 2020 due to Covid-19. It remains uncertain whether and to what extent her business will return since success of her business depended a great deal on high volume of in-person court appearances. Despite this, Ms. Caminiti tells her clients that until she can have them covered in the courtroom again, she’ll have them covered in the kitchen, and even if court returns to what it was pre-pandemic, she will always have them covered in the kitchen.
