"Fundamental Physics" is a short monograph on our current understanding of the standard model of particle physics and nuclear physics by a professor of physics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.Over the past 400 years, we humans have delved deeper and deeper into the fundamental nature of the universe in which we live, the matter that it contains, and how that matter interacts. Thesesteps have taken us from the four elements of Aristotle (earth, water, air, fire) to the periodic table of Mendeleev, to the "uncuttable" particles of today - quarks and leptons. This book lays out the basics of the standard model of particle physics along with an overview of nuclear physics.
