Collision Experiments – Explore elastic and inelastic collisions by rolling two balls toward each other and observing how momentum and energy are transferred. Conservation of Momentum – Use the balls to demonstrate the law of conservation of momentum in linear motion. Acceleration and Gravity – Drop the balls from different heights to study free fall motion and gravitational acceleration. Newton’s Cradle Demonstrations – Create simple setups to show how kinetic energy and momentum transfer between objects. The kit contains two each aluminum, brass, copper, steel, zinc, and wood. The physics balls have a variety of uses including projectile demonstrations in physical science classrooms. In addition the balls could be used to teach density and buoyancy concepts by comparing the mass of metal balls made of different materials.
