This book is exactly what the title of it suggests. It is a good size book for middle grade aged kids, not too short and not too long. I think the best part of this book is the characters as they are portrayed is very strong not just physically but mentally. There is a lot of action in this book which I think is appropriate for these readers as it will maintain their attention and engage them throughout the entire story. The content of the story is appropriate and imaginative and will spark the creativity and imagination of the kids reading it. Although I have not read the first book in this series, I would imagine that it is very similar. I am excited to recommend this book for kids of this age and see how they enjoy it.
