Tammy thought camping with her ex-husband Bobby in the high Mojave Desert of Nevada would be idyllic; instead, it turns into a nightmare. In a drunken rage, he beats her and when she tries to flee, he makes her his prisoner. Her life becomes a daily horror of abuse. Norm, Tammy's former boyfriend and Crescent Beach's mild mannered doctor, suspects foul play and sets out to find her and bring her back. But Bobby is a jealousy-crazed, muscle-bound brute who will stop at nothing to keep what he believes is his. That's not all that's happening in the little fishing village of Crescent Beach. Rusty and Crystal's marriage plans are put on hold when Crystal's game warden uncle is murdered by an alligator poacher and Rusty is recruited by the state police to go undercover to find the culprit. Rusty eventually finds the poacher and begins to gather the evidence he needs to make the arrest. But the tables are turned when the poacher learns Rusty's true identity and the hunter becomes the hunted.
