The book is humorous and I grew attached to the characters easily. There is a mix of so many types of characters from elves to trolls to dragons to werewolves...I felt like much of the fantastic beings were covered. As I read the book, I never felt completely destitute....even when the plot took a serious turn for the worst. I still had hope in the characters. I appreciate that when I immerse myself in a book.
