The abandoned Whittaker estate, perched on the high cliffs above Lake Superior, has been the object of town gossip for many years, as have the tales of ghosts, especially that of Serephine Whittaker – the Ghost of the Green Lady. When the property comes up for sale, the ghost appears to have returned. Lexi Marx is not sure that all the misadventures at the mansion are caused by Serephine’s ghost. With the help of her friends, Cricket and Foster, they try to unravel the mystery while being pulled into old secrets, hidden agendas and a group of buyers more mysterious and unusual than the old house, complete with widow’s walk and strange quarters. Their quest becomes more strained when Cricket’s sister goes missing. The Whittaker family becomes embroiled in suspicion as do those from the Upper Michigan town of Ottawa, as well as the buyers of the valued property. With spring blooming and danger looming, Lexi and her friends needs to delve into the history of the family to uncover the truth, before anyone becomes another ghost at the Old Manse.
