Storms are most remembered for their destruction, and justifiably so. We lost all our material possessions that were not tucked away in an upstairs closet, or that we had not managed to stuff into our van the day we evacuated for hurricane Katrina; and still our losses were not more than so many others affected by storms around the world. But even in all that they take, the storms of our lives carry gifts of far greater value. Take a second look at the storms of your life, to make sure you haven’t overlooked the gifts they hold, or missed the fact that by them, perhaps God has delivered you right where He wants you to be.
