Glimpse the entire Bible through my Favorite Bible Verses Ever wanted to read the Bible, but were intimidated by “Read the Bible in One Year” charts? You can read this book in 5 to 8 hours, not a year! By getting a glimpse, you will not only get an overview of the Bible, but will locate interesting verses where you may want to read in detail to learn more. This book is a summary of the entire Bible, using at least 1 verse from each of the 66 books of the Bible. This book contains less than 9% of the total word count of the Bible. Many verses are shortened or paraphrased to keep this glimpse of the Bible reasonably short – please go to a written Bible or online Bible, to read the unmodified verses in context with other verses. A FAVORITE Bible verse is, not necessarily one I emotionally like, but one that describes REALITY as it really is - not necessarily how I would desire it, because my way is not likely to be God's way. See Jeremiah 17:9, Isaiah 55:8-9, Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 51:10, and Romans 12:2. The INTENT of this book is to give an overview of what is in the Bible. The GOAL is for you to become interested in the full Bible to see what God, the Creator-Owner of the universe may want to say to you. Why read the Bible. Are you aware that the Bible is unique? It consists of 66 separate “books” written by about 40 authors, written over a period of about 1500 years. The authors included kings, fishermen, farmers, shepherds, priests, government officials, and a doctor. From all this diversity comes an incredible unity, with common themes woven throughout. The Bible’s unity is due to the fact that, ultimately, it has one Author – God Himself. The Bible is “inspired by God” with human authors writing what God wanted them to write, and the result was the perfect, holy, living Word of God. “Living” means that the Bible continues to speak to people today, that it continues to be relevant to today’s issues, and continues to speak life into people who are truly seeking God. A word of caution: while the Bible was written FOR us, it was not written TO us, which means we have to be careful how we “interpret” and apply what we read. Reading the Bible has been likened to traveling to a distant country, we are over 2,000 years removed from the various cultures found in the Bible. The Bible is a historically accurate book, has the most historical evidence of any book, and archeology continues to find confirming evidence even to this year. The Bible is about 27 percent predictive (contains prophecies of the future) of which over half of the prophecies have already happened and further confirm the divine nature of the Bible. May your mind and heart be open to what God may want you to know about Him and you! My hope is that as you glimpse the Bible you begin to experience the Bible as a love story about God’s pursuit of us .

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
