1) wash your hair
2) air dry
3) moisturize hair & box braid hair
4) crochet in the dread strand and make a knot into each root of the box braid
5) crochet a small amount of "afro twist" hair (see attached picture) to each root (bought at local beauty supply store) key: match the colors
6) make sure 1 side of the "afro twist" hair is longer than the other
7) hold the single box braid, faux dread & short piece of afro twist hair altogether
8) wrap the longest afro twist around each strand
9) once you reach the end of your real hair, wrap back up
