His clinical specialty is chemical pathology. He is the author of more than seven hundred peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters on basic and clinical reproductive endocrinology, as well as the monograph Good and Bad Testosterone (Elsevier, 2024). He has served on the editorial boards of several academic journals, including as Editor-in-Chief of Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology (Elsevier). He has also edited books in the fields of reproductive endocrinology and andrology.
