I have spent much of my life serving others, counseling the brokenhearted, standing beside the overlooked, and walking with people through their darkest valleys. I have counseled pastors and pastoral staff during difficult seasons, offering a listening ear when the leadership felt lonely and grace felt distant. In all those moments, one truth has never failed me: God’s grace and mercy are more potent than anything we face. Grace and Mercy have been the anchor of my soul, covering my failures and a healing balm to wounds I did not know were still bleeding. There was a season in my life when everything I had built seemed to crumble. I had given everything, my time, my heart, my strength, to a mission I believed in. I felt betrayed, exhausted, misunderstood, and spiritually dry somewhere along the way. I was leading others to wells I could no longer drink from myself. In my most fragile and human state, God met me in that moment, not with judgment or shame, but with mercy that did not ask for an explanation and grace that did not keep a score. God’s mercy withheld the consequences. His grace handed me what I could never earn: hope, restoration, and a renewed purpose, almost like a rebranding.
