There were so many topics I wish I had asked my parents and grandparents about while growing up. That has been the inspiration for this document. I felt it necessary to leave with my descendants some insights into who I was and how you came to where you are. It is also my hope it will give you a curiosity of your own to ask questions and seek understanding of your own family dynamic. The Coe Family ancestry has been an interest for me since my childhood. My Fathers cousin Richard, was a past President of the American Genealogical Society and did the initial research on the family. We were lucky to have him to give us a start. Reading about some of the ancestors coming from England, fighting in the war of 1812 and Civil War was intriguing. It gave me inspiration to not only complete this Chronicle of my life but also complete a Family Tree that my Dad always intended to do. Grandpa Tom
