Gregory is a very greedy little duck who loves eating the leftover fries in the park. This food is not good for a little duck and one day after a feast he fell asleep under a pile of leaves. When he wakes up he finds that his family have flown home without him. He tries to fly but he is too full. He makes a decision to walk home and he faces many challenges along the way. Will be get home to his snug little nest with his family without being eaten by the fox? i was raised on a farm in western Queensland and I spent a lot of of my childhood exploring the scrub area around my home. I spent quite some time watching the birds and their antics. Years later when driving home from school one afternoon a low flying duck almost crashed into my car and I thought that was really weird. So my mind started thinking why was this so out of character for a bird and I come up with an idea for a children's story based on this incident.
