With a Doctorate in Psychology focused on the neurobiological and social impacts of grief and trauma, Wayra’s research explores the utilization of art therapy and indigenous healing practices in adapting to grief. She also holds a Master's degree in Global Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Alternative Medicine, both of which inform her holistic, culturally rooted approach to healing. A homeschool mother, Wayra is passionate about education, parenting, and fostering creative expression. Her personal experiences with profound loss, losing her mother as a teenager, and two of her siblings in her 30s have shaped her mission to guide others in transforming grief through creativity, mindfulness, and indigenous practices. Having traveled to over 40 countries, she draws inspiration from global traditions and indigenous wisdom, enriching her therapeutic practices with diverse cultural perspectives.
