Remove the handle assembly from the vehicle door so you can rebuild the unit ------Picture marked 1 2. Locate factory pivot rod. ------Picture marked 2 3. Use a cutting tool to cut the rod in half to allow removal ------Note: You can also drill out the tip as it is flared, but this may be more difficult and leaves room for the cup to be damaged ------Picture marked 3 4. Take the new rod out of the new lever, and install the lever to the old cup.
