This Handbook of Chinese Herbal Medicine is especially noteworthy because of the eight page introduction written by Chairman Mao in his own hand. There are not many surviving and published examples of the handwriting of Chairman Mao Zedong. Ishi Press has launched a program where we are reprinting out of print books in Chinese. These are books that we believe are no longer readily available in China but nevertheless should be preserved. These titles are concerned primarily with Chinese traditional medicine including Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture, Chinese massage, Chinese literature and Chinese history plus the Holy Bible translated into Chinese. These books are all entirely in Chinese. Some are in Simplified Chinese. Others are in Traditional Chinese. These are not translations except that the titles have been translated into English. Thus far, all of these books were first published before 1998 but after 1949. This is obviously a risky project because there is no assurance that we can sell purely Mainland Chinese books in the USA. Thus, future books will depend on the sales of these books. There are 16 Chinese language books that have now been reprinted by Ishi Press. Other Books in this series are: The Holy Bible The New Testament in Chinese ISBN 4871872203 The Holy Bible The Old Testament in Chinese, part 1, Genesis through Chronicles ISBN 4871872009 The Science of Curing Eye Illness by Chinese Herbal Medicine by Guangdong Herbal Medicine Academy in Shanghai 8/1964 ISBN 4871872033

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
