COMPLETELY HAND-CRAFTED: From design, to assembly, to packaging, the Donegal Touring Cap is crafted completely in Donegal, Ireland. Each hat has been designed, cut, sewn, pressed, inspected, and packaged at our hometown workshop for almost 100 years by our skilled team of craftspeople. DETERMINE YOUR SIZE: To find your best Hanna Hats fit, we recommend doing a quick measurement. This is best done using a flexible tape measure and measuring around your head at the widest point (typically above the ears or at the eyebrows). We offer a variety of sizes to ensure you can find the perfect feel. Initially created in 2008, this cap quickly became one of the most popular in our range and is suitable for all genders. The peak is curved and sewn down at the front, giving a more tailored look. This modern solid cap is made from luxurious Irish and Scottish tweeds which are reflective of the colors naturally found in the Donegal countryside.
OUR FOUNDING FATHERS:
With a bike and a dream, our grandfather, David Hanna, cycled over 100 miles to Donegal Town, Ireland to start an apprenticeship at McDaid's Tailor in 1921. After McDaid's passing, our grandfather continued the legacy and kept the workshop open, which would soon transform to the Hanna Hats we know today.
The transition from tailoring suits to hand-crafting headwear came when a local man dropped by our grandfather's workshop asking for a new hat. Within four and a half hours, David Hanna had created the "Hanna Hat, No. 84," a short-brimmed Trilby style hat made from the finest Donegal tweed. Discovering a flair for headwear, the company then evolved to designing and handcrafting hats and caps and Hanna Hats was established in 1924.

Our father, John Joseph Hanna, joined the business with his three brothers in 1964. John had a passion for beautiful fabrics, customer service and upholding the impeccable quality standards set by his father.
THIRD GENERATION:
Keeping alive all the values that were so important to our father and grandfather, we continue to create timeless headwear and accessories in our Donegal Town Workshop.
