A Baby Boomer's perspective of growing up in post-World War II America, witnessing America's establishment as the leader of the free world, and its growth as a full-fledged democracy and superpower. But, as America prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its existence, political divisiveness threatens the accomplishments of the last 75 years. Since 2016, America has become a flawed democracy. The ultra-rich and far right are threatening the very ideas of democracy, which have defined us as the world's oldest continuous democracy. The question every American should be asking is, "What can we do about it?"
