Pass it on to 4 additional homeowners. This Journal will be a selling feature when you sell your home. The author, Fred Turner, has worked with homes in various capacities for the last 33 years. He has been working in the property restoration industry for over 15 years as a project manager, a sales manager, and currently, Fred works as a repair estimator for a restoration company in the Chicagoland area. Fred is certified in water restoration (IICRC), hail damage assessment certified (HAAG), and has extensive training in the subrogation of claims. Fred was also the publisher of a real estate magazine, Homes For Sale By Owner, in the Chicagoland area for over 17 years. Fred's oldest daughter and her husband bought their first single-family home several years ago, which is a Victorian-style home built in 1901. The house came with a journal documenting all the updates, remodeling, and repairs done over the 120+ years it has existed. This was such a great idea, Fred thought every household should have the same home maintenance journal that can be passed on to future owners.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
