We've travelled, trekked and worked around the globe, much of it before cell phones and the internet. We used local buses, boats, trains and shoe leather express; worked in a Mission Hospital in Kenya and hiked in the Alps, Sierras, Andes and Himalayas. These poems are about the adventures that happened in the wide world or when dumbfounded by kids at home. I look for the humor and irony in the unplanned events that make life so real. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: I grew up in Philly, college in the midwest, Med school in Manhattan and Ob-Gyn residency in San Francisco. Between travel, treks and work abroad, we've lived, worked and raised a family on the Mendocino coast. We continue to enjoy the beauty of the North Coast and are never sad to be returning home.
