Patricia Hart McMillan is a nationally recognized interior designer, writer, and magazine editor. She has coauthored three definitive books on interior design and has taught dozens of college courses and seminars on interior design. Her design work for private clients, designer showcase houses, and corporations has appeared in magazines and books worldwide. She currently contributes feature articles and interior design projects to numerous magazines. Previously, she has held editorial posts at remodeling magazines, newspapers, and other decorating publications, and has been director of a home furnishings public relations firm. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a minor in art history (with an emphasis in architecture), from the State University of New York (New Paltz) and a certificate of interior design from The New York School of Interior Design. Katherine Kaye McMillan is a writer who contributes to numerous design and decorating magazines and other publications and is co-author with her mother, Patricia Hart McMillan, of other decorating books. She is contributing editor to Florida Design and Design: The Magazine of Luxurious Living. A graduate of the University of Texas (Austin), she is president of McMillan Associates Public Relations and a novelist.
