Hood To Coast Memories features personal recollections from “The Mother of All Relays.” Runners, walkers, volunteers, event organizers, and others share their memories from the almost 200-mile relay race across Oregon, from Mt. Hood to the Pacific Coast. The book captures the character, personality and appeal of the race that began in 1982 with eight teams and has grown to more than 1,000 teams and 12,000 competitors, and is the longest running relay race in the U.S. Marc B. Spiegel first participated in Hood To Coast in 2014 with the team Agony of Da Feet and has run the relay four times. His first book, co-authored with Art Garner, was the Amazon bestseller Indy 500 Memories: An Oral History of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." He is a sports marketing and communications professional with more than 25 years of experience working with a variety of global brands.
