This masterpiece reveals the secret of God’s presence in human action and how we can cooperate in allowing God to lovingly shape our hearts so that we can produce fruit that will last. Fr. Wojciech Giertych, O.P., the theologian of the Papal Household, offers a uniquely insightful exploration of how divine grace works within human actions, elevating them to a supernatural level. Through the prism of the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas, Pope St. John Paul II, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and Bl. Marie-Eugène of the Child Jesus, among others, Fr. Giertych examines the often untapped divine grace we receive at Baptism. With fresh insights, he unpacks the foundations of moral theology in a relational way, asking, “How can God’s love meet man?” Although the pursuit of sanctity may seem as if it is reserved for a chosen few, Father reminds us that the call to holiness is for all the baptized of the Church. The world is transformed by saints, he explains, so whether you are an educator, formator, student, or layman, strive to deepen your trust in God and build greater intimacy with Him, pursuing sanctity will enable you to manifest the divine power He is bestowing. In these power-packed pages, which delve into philosophy and psychology, you will discover ways in which the mystery of God’s grace is revealed in human freedom. You will be encouraged as you find: The foremost means to grow in the spiritual life and three means necessary for blossoming virtues - The nature of conscience, and counsel on developing maturity in conscience - Examples of why modern Catholic moral theology falls short (You will be surprised!) - How to determine the morality of an act, according to St. Thomas Aquinas - Ways God invites us to participate in His inner life so that your yes will bear fruit - The role of integrating emotions in your life, and two cures for overcoming neurosis How to Live by Grace will enrich your understanding and practice of living a grace-filled life.
