The book also gets into chess notation which is another thing which has always mystified me. I found this section the most interesting because it is like learning a language. After the step by step explanation of how the game works there is a section where the rules are reviewed which is helpful. The book then describes the tactics of the game and breaks it down into 3 levels before explaining tactics for beginners in depth and moving on to strategies which is also 3 stages. It also recommends the best tactics for beginners and then at the end of the book reviews the tips and tricks so you don't forget.
