It is designed for suction applications and will prevent debris from being drawn into your pump. Rated for higher pressures, this suction strainer can handle pressures of 150 psi at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and 100 psi at 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Install the Line Strainer on the pump's inlet side. It can be installed on the inlet or discharge side on a centrifugal pump, only if the flow capacity, pressure rating, and other installation factors for the strainer are considered. Strainers with clear polyamide bowls are NOT recommended for handling alcohol. Do NOT use for fatigue-loading applications (eg. water softeners).
