These Hypro 3350 Series Polypropylene Line Strainers / Suction Filters prevent debris from being drawn into your pump. They have a low-profile design and are primarily used for suction and low pressure applications. The cap and bowl on the Hypro 3350-0058A Line Strainers are made with black polypropylene for increased chemical resistance. The black polypropylene also gives a sleek and clean appearance throughout your sprayer.
Most of the time, the line strainer can be installed on the pump's inlet side. If installing on a centrifugal pump, you can install the line strainer on either the inlet or discharge side, but this depends on the strainer's pressure rating, flow capacity, and other installation factors.
Clean the strainer without removing it from the line by unscrewing the bowl from the cap, removing the screen, flushing any sediment from the screen, then reassembling it by fitting the screen to the flange in the bowl and turning the bowl hand tight. NOTE: Not for fatigue-loading applications, such as water-softeners.
