Book Three of the thrilling I, Q series sees Q and Angela in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on the trail of kidnappers and secrets about Angela's mother. The president's daughter has been kidnapped by the elusive and lethal Ghost Cell. Quest (Q) and Angela are in hot pursuit with vicious winds and blinding rain thwarting them at every turn. It's a desperate high stakes chase. But who is chasing whom? Are Q and Angela the hunters or the hunted? Q&A with Roland Smith, Author of I, Q, Book Three: Kitty Hawk We've heard that I, Q, Book Three will be releasing in the fall [2012]. Where does it take place? Q, Angela, and the SOS team are in hot pursuit of the president's daughter, which leads them to the mysterious Outer Banks of North Carolina during a freak hurricane. The other two plots [of Book One and Book Two] occurred in major cities (Philadelphia and Washington, DC). Why did you decide to move the story to a small town? The first two books take place next to two famous historical sites, which just happened to be in major cities. In the third book there is another historical site: Kitty Hawk, where the Wright brothers flew their first airplane. Not all historical sites are in major cities. How have Q and Angela changed in Book Three? You'll have to wait to read the book to find out. Does Q still like magic? Absolutely, and he has a few tricks up his sleeve in Book Three. Can you give us a hint about what happens to the president's daughter? That would be a huge spoiler. Suffice it to say that she is in big trouble, and if Q and Angela don't reach her, things will go from big to gigantic trouble. Do you have a favorite character in the series? Truthfully, I like all of the characters in my books. Even the bad guys to some extent, if for no other reason than they are interesting. Does the series end with Book Three? Uh... no. There will be more books in the series, but you'll have to wait for the announcement. We're working out some details. As soon as we do, we'll let you know what is going on with the rest of the adventure. Roland Smith is the New York Times bestselling author of more than forty books for young people. Among his books are the I, Q series, Peak, Beneath, Above, Zach’s Lie , the Cryptid Hunters series, Storm Runners, The Switch , and Elephant Run . Before becoming a full-time writer, he spent more than twenty years working with wildlife all over the world. He was a zookeeper, zoo curator, assistant zoo director, and research biologist. He was instrumental in reintroducing the red wolf back into the wild, and he was a consultant on the Yellowstone National Park gray wolf translocation.
