Students of Knox Trail and David Prouty High were captivated by Mr. D's weather-telling toe which proved to be more accurate in predicting the weather than Harvey Leonard and Danielle Niles combined. We all miss Mr. D daily and are filled with memories of his incredible ability to educate us all and become a friend of anyone he has encountered. Children's Book author Todd Civin has joined with DPHS alum Carter Bemis to create this whimsical story of the morning Carter woke up having inherited Mr. D's toe. The book will be used as a fundraiser to assist those with fees needed to youth sports in Spencer and East Brookfield. This was a pet-peeve of Phil's and we hope we can relieve the burden of those who may need a helping hand. Illustrated by Todd's daughter, Erika Civin-Dodge, the book will be released on Mr. Delongchamp's birthday June 3 and we will ship soon after. Please support this worthwhile project and allow Mr. D's legacy to live on.
