I'll Have Mine Rare "Dare 2 B Diff" Does just that! A powerful story about rare diseases and embracing and appreciating the uniqueness in others. Raisin and Rosco are children that were born RARE. They have a Rare Disease and want to fit in and be accepted by other kids. Through a neighborhood gathering, Raisin and Rosco teach families about their rareness and how being different is what ultimately makes YOU SPECIAL! Michael Goldberg is the oldest of three boys, growing up and living South of Boston, MA. He's married to Judi and has a son, Andrew. Michael spent many years in the Internet/Computer Industry before turning to his ultimate passion. Always into fitness and working out 6 days a week, Michael became a Lifestyle and Wellness Consultant. He studied Krav Maga (what they teach in the Israeli Defense Forces) and received his 1st degree black belt in December of 2011. In 2012, Michael started with sudden vision loss in his left eye while in a work environment and progressively his symptoms worsened from there. Muscle weakness, heart issues, liver, kidney, etc. Michael and his family started searching for answers and a diagnosis. After 3 years, countless hospitals and many doctors he was finally diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease. Mitochondrial Disease is a rare disease that affects an individual on a cell level. Its primarily a children's/pediatric disease, but adult onset is being diagnosed more and more. There is no cure and symptoms are treated as they arise. Michael has created his own website and non-profit charitable organization called Hugs For Mito, Inc. www.hugsformito.com Michael and Judi have been advocating loudly and proudly and working extremely hard to create awareness and fundraise for the cause. Michael's Mito Specialist, Dr. Amel Karaa at Mass General Hospital in Boston is trying to establish a Comprehensive Diagnostic Care and Research Center. Michael and Judi hope you'll gift at his website and join in their fight against rare disease and Mitochondrial Disease.
