The Innovation and the Built Environment Academy (IBEA) as a non-profit organisation was set up in 2010 to encourage innovation in the built environment through interdisciplinary interaction among academics, scientists, practitioners, policy makers among others. This document provides edited version of the papers presented at the first IBEA Conference at London South Bank University between 7-9 October 2011.
