Simply wipe down with a dry paper towel or rag before using. (Avoid wiping with anything wet - water will cause stamps to rust.) For stamping soft metals including aluminum, pewter, Alkeme, copper, brass, nickel silver, and also wood. Do not use on stainless steel. Make sure you are working with a flat brass head hammer and steel bench block on an even and stable table.
