Photography has always been a hobby for Sam since the birth of his first child. Photography took a serious turn for Sam only in the past decade. There have been many masters of the photographic arts, but Sam draws inspiration from the One most worthy of this title. And the Word is His brush, and Creation His palette. It is from His creative mastery that I draw my own creative inspiration. Using the canvas of the Master Creator, Sam enjoys not only capturing nature in all its beauty and splendor, but then taking that captured image and artistically making it his own. I find perspective to be the key element of great photographs, yet it is something hard to define and also something even harder to teach. I have been told that it is my eye for perspective that makes my work special. I believe this creative talent is a gift from God and He is the source of and He is the source of anything good one might see or find in my work. For me, it has become yet another wonderful and creative expression of worship. Many of the photographic and affirmations in this book celebrate the majesty and grandeur of nature and the reverence and gratitude it instills in us. As a place of worship, nature reminds us of that joyful stillness we inhabit when we are truly surrounded by Nature. It is my prayer…. my sole desire that, when you look at my photography you will see God from and through the lens of my perspective. Every image I capture is uniquely my own…captured in a single moment of time and from a single, unique perspective, but always through the lens of our Creator God.
