The month of Nissan usually occurs during the month of April. In America, April is celebrated as Poetry Month. In northeast Ohio, the Cuyahoga County Public Library supports Poetry Month by sponsoring thirty days of prompts to keep her poets inspired and writing. This year (5784), Nissan marked six months from the moment our enemies murdered us and took hostages in Eretz Israel on Simchat Torah (October 7, 2023). It was categorized as the worst atrocity perpetrated on the Jewish people since the Shoah. The poems collected in this humble volume were written during Nissan 5784/April 2024 to honor the celebration of the freedom to express oneself as a poet.
