Carissa Baker is an Assistant Professor in Tourism, Events and Attractions at the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management, USA. Her primary scholarship focuses on narratives in the theme park space, drawing on her BA and MA in Literature. Her interdisciplinary scholarship includes the areas of culture, guest experience, and emerging markets. Alan Fyall is Associate Dean Academic Affairs and Visit Orlando Endowed Chair of Tourism Marketing at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida, and is a member of UCF’s National Center for Integrated Coastal Research. His research focuses on destination sustainability and resilience, travel accessibility, and the impacts of tourism on resident communities.
