Iris is a collection of poetry divided into six categories. Family Love and Friendship shows how we all relate to one another. Nature coins the beauty of trees, flowers, fruits and even wind and their impact on us. Identity Crises asks us who we really are. Death, Faith and Reverence expresses our greatest losses and most wondrous blessings. Just for Fun appeals to the child which is in us all. The last category of Poems that Tell a Story stirs our hearts. Marnelle White has a Master's degree in Language Arts and Literature and has taught college English. She is a Real Estate Broker, Senior Senator, and Community Activist. Yet she is very much a family person with a devoted husband, grown children and grandchildren, as is evident in her verse. Marnelle White has previously published two books of poetry, Sometimes the Wind Blows and Thirty Pages.
