In this timeless fantasy adventure, seventeen-year-old Morgan seemingly falls to his death while climbing in the mountains. Instead, he finds himself in a tunnel of light being escorted across a void, a sea of time, by an ethereal guide named Melby. During his first night on an uncharted tropical island, Morgan dreams of red-haired Maria, a girl he eventually meets while exploring the island. Together, Morgan and Maria discover secrets of the island during strange adventures involving a magical pool, a pride of wild lions, and the mysterious Dr. Robulo. The author has lived most of his life in and around Madison, Wisconsin, where he earned a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin. After getting married in San Francisco and a graduate study stint at UC-Berkeley, he and his wife, Lynne, settled again in Madison. Tom worked as a trade buyer for several bookstores in Madison. Later, Tom was a Juvenile Court Worker in Madison where he doubled for 10 years as Detention librarian. Two other fantasy novels, "Eternal River" and "Scathe!" are available now. The Youngs live in Middleton where they enjoy nature and writing activities. Their children, Andy and Becca, live nearby in Madison and are also UW graduates.
