Java Scripture is the third book of poetry by award winning poet Tony Fusco. The poems recreate the coffeehouse setting with the poet reading modern poetry covering themes from growing up Italian to observations on the life and times of this poet with loads of wit, pathos and empathy. Tony Fusco is a past President of the Connecticut Poetry Society and current Vice President. He has a Masters Degree in Creative Writing from Southern Connecticut State University. He is the editor of Caduceus, the anthology of the Yale Medical Group Art Place and past editor of The Connecticut River Review, Long Rive Run, the Southern News, High Tide, and Sounds and Waves of West Haven. His work has appeared in many publications including: the Connecticut Review, Louisiana Literature, the Red Rock Review, The South Carolina Review, Lips, and The Paterson Review. His has published two other books Droplines, 2009, Grayson Press, and Jessie's Garden, 2003 Negative Capability Press. His poetry has won prizes and contests including: The Sunken Garden Poetry Prize of the Hilstead Museum in Connecticut. He is a member of the New England Poetry Club, past literary chair for the West Haven Council of the Arts and the Milford Fine Arts Council. Tony produced West Shore Poets a television poetry series at CTV, served on its Board of Directors and the Cable Advisor Council.
