This interior accessory features easy peel and stick installation with a permanent adhesive. Easy to apply: Step 1 - SURFACE PREPARATION. Scrub the entire application surface with rubbing alcohol & wipe dry. Now test for tack by applying a strip of masking tape. If it adheres you have done a good job, if it does not, wax or silicone is most likely present & must be removed by cleaning with a detergent such as Baby Shampoo or Dish Soap mixed with water. Mix a 32oz bottle with about 5 tablespoons of soap detergent & scrub the surface, then repeat the rubbing alcohol & wipe dry. Test for tack again with masking tape. Once a tack has been achieved, wipe the entire surface to be mounted with the adhesive promoter included with the kit. This promoter is not a cleaner but an adhesive accelerator. Step 2 - APPLY THE PART. Practice setting the part in place before removing the red liner. When you are ready, peel the red release liner from the back of the part. The adhesive is EXTREMELY STRONG, you cannot reposition once it has contacted the surface, so go slow & steady. Set the part in place pressing firmly along the entire surface to bond part. Bond is permanent in 24 hours.
