The great majority of Jews today still do not have a clear understanding of who the Jewish Jesus is. In the Tanakh (Old Testament), there are over 400 prophecies concerning Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus, The Messiah), and these prophetic scriptures in the Tanakh indicate that He is the Jewish Messiah. Despite the rejection by the hardliners, there were many Temple priests in Jesus' day who believed He was the Jewish Messiah. Their belief was not without risk, as they could have faced ostracism from the Temple. Yet, they remained quiet, a testament to their courage and conviction. Jesus was born in Bethlehem, as prophesied in the Tanakh by the Prophet Micah in Micah 5:2. He was crucified and nailed to the cross as prophesied by the Prophet Zechariah in Zechariah 12:10. The Prophet Isaiah spoke of His gruesome death as a "Suffering Servant" found in Isaiah chapter 53. King David prophesied the words He uttered on the cross in verbatim, found in Psalms chapter 22. He was God in human flesh, prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 9:6-7. The Prophet Isaiah called Him "Emmanuel" (part God, part man), as found in Isaiah 7:14. Daniel prophesied the Temple's destruction and how the anointed one (Jesus) would be rejected and put to death as found in Daniel 9:24-26. Jesus, in turn, upheld all the Jewish customs, such as the seder (Passover), the Laws of Moses, and the Torah, and preached the existence of one monotheistic God, Yahweh. This book examines the many prophecies in the Jewish Bible that were fulfilled by Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus, the Messiah). The best approach to reading this book is to have an open mind. It will not convert you to Christianity but help you discover your true Jewish roots of Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus, the Messiah).
