Joe Green is a young successful writer who has turned cynical after a nasty broken love relationship. As he weaves his unresolved anger into the plot of his new novel, his protagonist, Maggie, discovers a way to subliminally manipulate the story she is captive to. When Joe becomes distracted with a new relationship, Maggie strives to steer her story to her own desires and gain control of the plot. A chance encounter derails Joe’s life and threatens to destroy Maggie’s story completely.
