Funny hunting and fishing adventures were part of growing up in a sportsman's paradise - the Rocky Mountains and the Wind River Indian Reservation. The Preacher's Kid arrived in the back of a pickup truck. His Shoshone blood brothers were as curious about him as he was about them. They fished, hunted, swam and grew up on Trout Creek, the Little Wind River and the Continental Divide. They hunted deer, antelope and elk. There were no fish or game limits for Shoshones, but a friendly game of cat and mouse started between Game Warden Joe and the Preacher's Kid. He homers in baseball but flunks basketball. He earns $1 per day as government school janitor, drums at the Sundance, goes on a cattle drive and catches fish with bare hands.
