Inlet strainer is injection molded from high-density rubber and high-quality plastic material. The rubber washer is soft enough to provide a waterproof seal Compatible with Intex Filter Pumps w /1-1/2" Hoses. And the low-profile strainer nut is compatible with thicker tank pools Filter Screen Design:Prevents large impurities like leaves and toys from being sucked into the filter pump  Please make sure that the pump has a threaded 1-1/2" hoses. If not, you need an (1-1/4" to 1-1/2") adapter for 1-1/4" hoses. A flat 4" x 4" area on the side of your stock tank which is free of ribs is also required to fit this threaded inlet strainer 
Installation steps：

1、find a 4" x 4" area on the side of your stock tank.

2、drill a 2-3/4" hole, leave at least 3/4" distance around the ribs of the tank.

3、insert the connector after applying silicone (If the tank has vertical ribs, apply a bead of silicone caulk on the flat rubber washer which faces the tank).

4、let threaded connector and rubber washer slide through hole from the inside of the tank.

5、tighten them up as much as you can.

6、then connect the plunger valves and pump hoses (Not Included).
