"Hear my words, Audrey as time is brief. The land looks to you, as you are their hope. Know that in the world of mortals there are tasks the gods cannot achieve, and call upon those of faith and trust to become their voices. You are my Voice. You are my Messenger. Your strength will be theirs and your words will be heard, tho’ you must be the willing implement of my justice. Else all will fail and the land will be lost.”With these words, Audrey Vincent, Champion of the Church of Jhad, is chosen to battle the Shadow Horde in the Kingdom of the Sun. The goddess choosing Audrey is not of her religion however, but instead Kaanan, patron saint of the Church of the Rising Star, far to the south in Ardwel. As Audrey is targeted by assassins, an ancient enemy of elves and men, not seen for years, becomes a player. How will Audrey’s task be viewed by her own religious leaders? Will she be cast out, though her mission is to save the land? When your only option is to write, you write. Worked wonderfully for J. K. Rowling, didn't it? But that's not my story (pun intended). I've worked a normal job all my life, from high school to the present. But in 2005 I decided it was time to set the tales of Ardwel down on paper (or on the computer screen), and get these stories I've carried for thirty years out of my head. So I wouldn't go... out of my head. Actually it may have been too late. So in eight years I've written four novels and one companion piece, have two more novels planned and six more companion pieces. Yeah, well, we all need a hobby, right? After a long day of working in the international construction business and dealing with contractors, engineers, and consultants all over the world, I retreat into Ardwel and its cast of characters; the good, the bad, and the really ugly. We're talking butt-ugly in some cases, and not just looks. Nothing like a good bad guy to make the story more interesting. You want blood and guts, we got it. You want romance and hot sex, we got it. You want moral dilemmas and hard choices, we got those, too. But mostly we have great adventures, flawed heroes, and bad guys you just love to hate. With your shield or on it, as the saying goes. Don't give me that "have a nice day" stuff; give me a Red Day.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
