An adorable social and emotional learning book because it is never to early to teach children about empathy. “Kai the Empathetic Sea Turtle” is an educational children’s book which teaches children about empathy and environmental issues. Kai is a happy sea turtle who teaches empathy to his friend, Châu iu, after being invaded by plastic pollution created by humans. The book contains activity pages, a section on plastic issues plaguing our oceans, and a kids and parent section discussing the importance of learning empathy. The author has been an environmental and social emotional educator in Chicago for many years and hopes to bring awareness to both issues of empathy and ocean pollution.
